A chemical coprecipitation technique was utilized to develop a blue emission powder phosphor Sr2CeO4 for field emission displays. To optimize powder attributes, it was fired at different temperatures. Results showed that if the powder is fired at a temperature of 1200 °C for two hours, it gains its highest luminescence efficiency of 5.4 lm/W at 4 kV. At the same temperature and length of exposure, but at 10 kV, the powder can gain a luminescence efficiency of 29.0 lm/W.
