Abstract

Determination of urinary drug concentrations can prove to be very useful in the monitoring of patients who are receiving a variety of synthetic opioids. Through the use of liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, the simultaneous measurement of synthetic opioids provides for smaller sample volume requirements along with gains in throughput and an increase in the sensitivity of the analysis. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
