Abstract

The hospitals around the world are or should be patient-centered and academically oriented. A number of hospitals are disease-based and highly specialized centers of care, but the entire spectrum of hospital care now is more science-based and technology-driven than ever before. This evolution and hospital transformation has been taking place for a long time, and the hospital environment is rapidly changing for the better faster than any other time in the history of mankind.
