Power

Abstract

The chapter links academic debates on interactive governance to the work of Lukes and Foucault, making a nuanced contribution to both literatures. It explores the four dimensions of power and maps them onto the process of interactive governance. The four dimensions involve agency, structural bias, epistemic constraint and the social construction of subjects. These dimensions have both normatively desirable and dominating aspects, which are refracted through the process of interactive governance.
