Abstract

This paper introduces a new perspective on the fostering of innovationin sports. Point of departure is the concept of holistic innovation, acomplement to existing innovation concepts especially useful for radicalinnovation in complex settings. On this basis, a methodology to supportsystematic work on such innovation ventures, the Innovatorics, isintroduced. The paper concludes with discussing some more generalconsiderations regarding the fostering of successful innovation.
