Abstract

This document contains results of a research project carried out with the Sáliba ethnic group of El Suspiro reservation in Orocue, Department of Casanare, aimed at generating elements for recovery of their biocultural memory. The methodology used tools of participatory action research -PAR-, to have access to a closer approximation of this ethnic group culture, spirituality and agricultural production, largely eroded in the collective memory of its members, mainly by moments and elements of modernity in contact with nonindigenous communities in the area. Experiential approaches with immersion for long periods in the community, participation in festive activities, production, spirituality and daily life were used to help having a more accurate perception of their reality and support the results of the research.
