Abstract

Since the 1980s, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) has become the most often espoused paradigm for the management of water resources. The most widely used definition of IWRM is that of the Global Water Partnership. IRWM is a process which promotes the coordinated development and management of water, land, and related resources, in order to maximize the resultant economic and social welfare in an equitable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems.
