The chapter is structured as follows. After starting with a review of the literature on growth ambitions of entrepreneurs and high-growth firms in Sect. 5.2, we will discuss public policy aimed at high-growth firms in general in the third section. In the empirical part of the chapter we will present the data and research method used in Sect. 5.5, while we will present our empirical analysis of the association of the presence of ambitious entrepreneurs and national economic growth in Sect. 5.6. Discussion and conclusions are provided in Sect. 5.7.
