Abstract

A review of the generalised pseudophase model is presented emphasising the theoretical premises and the hypotheses on which it is based. The calculations of cmc and the degree of dissociation of surfactants is presented for simple cases as well as for mixture of surfactants and for surfactants subject to multiple chemical equilibria. © 1993 IUPAC.
