School is the organization socially invested with the mandate to educate the young generation. On the one hand, it inculcates the cultural values of the society in which it exists, and on the other hand, its existence as an organization implies reference to its own values. The system of values which confers identity to the school organization determines the organizational culture of a school. The organizational context influences the behavior and the perception of its members. The subjective meanings, either they are positive or negative, that the members of the organization ascribe to the social atmosphere from a school, shape the school climate. The school culture and the school climate are important constructs for all the members of the school organization such as teachers and students because they shape the social interaction between the members and contribute to the development of the school in various aspects. The present theoretical article aims to present the characteristics of the school as an organization as well as its opportunities for development which arise from the knowledge of the specific aspects of the culture and the school climate. An efficient educational management has to take into account the meanings of the two concepts in order to offer a welfare environment to its member.
