Abstract

The rate of technological advancement in the globe has increased rapidly in the last decade. There is a fair rate of enhancement in the various areas like Information Technology, Communication Technology and also on the area of its application like virtualization and utility computing. These all advancement has led to the conceptualization of Cloud Computing. Cloud computing is nothing but the variety of services on pay-as-per-use model. The increased security breaches are the main hindrance for increased use of cloud computing in business sector. There are various security measures are available to provide a personalized security framework based on the business needs. This paper proposes a completely new security model using VPN to provide a secured authentication to the users. The first section discusses on the various characteristics of cloud computing with its extended support to the business model. The final section proposes an advanced security model using VPN and analyses its impact on the cloud computing system.
