Abstract

The scenes change detection for video indexing is proposed in this paper to improve the capability of learning object retrieval. This indexing technique can be applied to improve the readability of open courseware with web-based format. Besides, the application of technique can include education assistance with the learning objects very important. Hence, our proposed system is integration technology with automatic scenes detection and anchored scenes technology to produce e-learning objects. This system applies automatic detection technology to retrieve key time of the course section. Teachers just have follow the designed process to produce materials, and then reader will be use functions of learning object to search the content for require information. Finally, we invite scholars' specialized video recording materials using our system to produce new types of learning materials. The materials will be translated into the learning management system to provide students learning. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
