Abstract

Book has chapters about detailed degradation pathways for important soil components and xenobiotics, such as lignin, cellulose, lipids, chitin, starch, N heterocyclics, and denitrification. Most of these pathways are very complex, requiring a number of different enzymes and microbial community assemblages.
