Abstract

Medical image fusion processing, as an indispensable part of the modern medical treatment, has been used widely in clinic medicine. The Paper firstly describes the Gauss decomposition of the medical image and the establishment of the Laplace pyramid decomposition images, then fusing medical image using PCA fusion criteria, finally obtaining the fusion image based on the Laplace pyramid image reconstruction. The experimental results show that the algorithm can be complementary information of the CT image and MR image highlights, and has a good fusion effect. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
