Abstract

This paper focuses on setting up an equivalent simulation platform for high-precision positioning system driven by permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM). The transfer function from input voltage to output velocity is firstly developed by fully taking into account system characteristics, which contains not only a first-order lowfrequency model but also a series of high-frequency resonance models. Subsequently, a reduced-order model is obtained according to the actual machine features and the relevant model parameters are identified by fitting the amplitude-frequency characteristics based on the low-frequency characteristics and former three natural frequencies. After introducing the external disturbances that cannot be definitely modeled, the accurate equivalent simulation platform of PMLSM-driven positioning system in Matlab/Simulink environment is established. Simulation and experiment studies validate the effectiveness of the proposed simulation platform due to the comparative analysis of tracking performance, overshoot and positioning time.
