Abstract

Dynamic models of an induction motor with a synchronous reference frame and a stationary frame are introduced. According to the dynamic behaviour of ac drive system, an intelligent scheme based on self-tuning parameters has been applied to the ac drive controller so that meets the requirements of real-time behaviour in uncertainty control system. The scheme of flux-oriented control of an induction motor based on online controller parameter adaptation is proposed in this paper. When changes of command speed and the large range fluctuation of load torque occurred, a good dynamic and static performance is achieved under this parameter adaptive control scheme, which is obviously superior to the conventional control. The effectiveness of the control scheme under varying speed, load torque changes and the fluctuations of rotor resistance, is verified, and the robustness of the presented scheme is also demonstrated by simulation results.
