Abstract

A description of the new method for preparing the spherical phosphors, which is based on the aerosol pyrolysis, is presented. Europium doped yttrium oxide(Y2O3:Eu) phosphors are taken as an illustration. They showed perfect spherical shape of 1 μm average diameter and better CL intensities over the commercial product by 30% under 400 V excitation.
