Abstract

Paper presents process of validation of finite element solver utilized for simulations of eddy current tomography forward transformation. Validation of numerical solver is conducted on two models. One test utilizes well known and analytically solved standards of magnetic field: Helmholtz coil and long coil. Second test validates the depth of eddy current inducted in material depending on its conductivity and excitation frequency. Achieved results confirmed proper operation of magnetodynamic solver utilized in Elmer FEM software.
