Abstract

The paper is aimed to clarify habitants' life-style in terms of the living activities of exterior common use space in urban villages (chengzhongcun) based on a case study. From the study, we concluded that improving the function of exterior common use space that promotes the communication between local original residents and migrant residents correlated positively with both the trend towards stable settlement and sustainability of mixed social communities in urban villages.
