Abstract

The major purpose of the study was to assess the geochemistry of soils in typical weathering profiles and in river-deposited sediments. The Purari data, apart from providing baseline information on this system which as yet is largely unmodified by human activities, also are used as comparison with some other tropical catchments elsewhere in the world.-from Authors
