European union mobile telecommunications in the context of enlargement

Abstract

This chapter examines the implications for mobile telecommunication companies of the 2004 expansion of the European Union. Licence ownership, market structure and concentration are analysed, and the strategic options for those operators with a presence in the accession countries discussed. © 2006 Physica-Verlag Heidelberg.
