Abstract

This research proposes a trust model to investigate the factors that influence students' trust and acceptance of electronic sand table (EST) learning systems. A total of 171 valid samples were collected from the students in Guangzhou College, South China University of Technology who have participated in EST-based courses. The results of this study indicate that entertanability, reliability, and auditability are key factors that determine students' trust toward EST learning systems. Furthermore, recommendations for the development and implementation of EST learning systems are provided based on the findings. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
