Abstract

Bedbugs, an ancient scourge long thought eradicated, have again become a serious problem in the USA, creating misery, financial hardship, and health hazards (Schulz 2011). Government agencies associate the alarming resurgence of bedbugs with significant public health importance. Despite actions taken to date by governmental bodies, investigators in various relevant areas claim that federal agencies are failing in their duties (Schulz 2011) to adequately deal with this resurgent problem. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
