Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is currently a pandemic affecting the world, and there is no specific therapeutic drug available. Hypoxemia is a common clinical manifestation of severe patients, and oxygen therapy is the main treatment. This article reports for the first time the computed tomography (CT) imaging dynamic changes in a case of 69-year-old male with severe type of COVID-19 treated by hyperbaric oxygen, which provides a more effective regimen for severe COVID-19 patients with hypoxemia. We empha-size that hyperbaric oxygen treatment for COVID-19 is a preliminary attempt, and more clinical studies are required to confirm its efficacy.
