Abstract

DynaMIT is a sim ulationbased realtime system designed to estimate the curren t state of a transportation net ork predict future trac con w ditions and pro vide consisten tand un biased information to tra elers v T o perform these tasks ecien t sim ulators ha e been designed to ex v plicitly capture the in teractions bet een transportation demand and w supply  The demand reects both the OD o w patterns and the com bi nation of all the individual decisions of tra elers while the supply reects v the transportation net ork in terms of infrastructure trac o w w and trac con trol This paper describes the design and specication of these sim ulators and discusses their in teractions
