The climate change has negative repercussions on our lives, society and our health, disproportionately affecting the most vulnerable among us. This article examines the impacts of climate change with a focus on pulmonary health. The results show that there are four main impacts of climate change on pulmonary health, namely air pollution, aeroallergens (such as pollen and molds), temperature extremes, such as heat waves and extreme cold, and other extreme weather events, such as floods. These events are getting worse every year and will affect increasingly larger groups of people. Secondly, examples of cases of existing and increasing social and health inequality and injustice related to climate change and its consequences are illustrated. Thirdly, an overview of transformative changes and social justice is given in order to show ways of solving the climate crisis.
