Synthesis of N-Phtaloyl Amino Acid p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene Esters

Abstract

1-3-Diesters of p-terr-butylcalix[4]arene were obtained upon reaction with N-phtaloyl amino acid chlorides. Reactions with chiral amino acids were accompanied by complete or partial racemization in the reaction media (Et3N/CH2Cl2).
