Abstract

In this article, the author discusses the challenges that scholars face while defining both "rhetoric" and "technology." He mentions that it raises issues about how to demarcate the rhetoric of technology from media studies and other cognate fields. He states that both the issues are focused on invention which lies between science and commerce, and novelty and familiarity. He informs that invention encourages interdisciplinary reflexivity about the decisions made in technological development.
