Kounis syndrome

Abstract

A case of Kounis syndrome is reported. A 45-year-old male were treated with mezlocillin by intravenous drip due to upper respiratory tract infection. After 20 min, the patient presented with severe pain in the mid-lower portion of the sternum and dyspnea, accompanied by cold sweat, nausea and vomiting. After the treatment with fluid infusion, anti allergic treatment and relieving spasm of coronary artery, the symptoms improved. According to the history of the disease, clinical features, coronary angiographic results, treatment and prognosis, the diagnosis of Kounis syndrome was made.
