Kajian Semiotika Peirce Pada Karya Seni Lukis di Sanggar Seni Rupa Simpassri

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami relasi tanda pada lukisan di Simpassri berdasarkan kajian semiotika tipologi tanda meliputi aspek representamen, hubungan representamen dengan objek, dan interpretan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif-interpretatif, yaitu mendeskripsikan data-data tekstual yang dianalisis secara detail oleh interpretator melalui penerapan teori semiotika tipologi tanda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa lukisan-lukisan ini merepresentasikan objek-objek yang berceritakan filosofi, budaya/tradisi suku Batak yang merupakan aspek representamen yang hadir dan bersifat indrawi. Dalam hubungan representamen dengan objek, lukisan-lukisan ini merujuk pada suasana dari budaya tradisi Batak. Berdasarkan interpretan/makna, pemahaman yang terkandung ialah pelestarian seni budaya/tradisi etnis Batak. Abstract This study aims to understand the relationship of signs in paintings in Simpassri based on a semiotic study of sign typology covering aspects of representamen, the relationship between representamen and objects, and interpretants. The method used is descriptive qualitative-interpretative, namely describing textual data which is analyzed in detail by the interpreter through the application of the semiotic theory of sign typology. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that these paintings represent objects that tell the philosophy, culture/tradition of the Batak tribe, which are present and sensory representational aspects. In relation to representation and object, these paintings refer to the atmosphere of the traditional Batak culture. Based on the interpretant/meaning, the understanding contained is the preservation of the art and culture/tradition of the Batak ethnic group.
