Abstract

In this chapter, the objectives are outlined based on the discussion presented in the previous chapter. The methods to fulfil them are also described, explaining the characteristics of the subjects, the scales of ‘autonomy from the authority’, ‘school hierarchy’, ‘indication of colleagues’ and ‘bullying self-indication’, developed by Crochik, and the Fascism Scale developed by Adorno in his study of the authoritarian personality together with other authors from the University of California at Berkeley. Given what is discussed in the previous chapter, the research being described intends to investigate whether it is possible to confirm the aforementioned factors of bullying: school hierarchy, authoritarianism and a lack of autonomy or consciousness. Clearly, these factors should not be limited to individuals and their families but be considered in relation to the conflicts that are present in this society and the consequent individual implications. Another aim is to empirically examine whether proposals for inclusive education—in the schools that adopt it—consider the fight against bullying and whether students in an inclusive situation may be a new target for this type of violence, even though this type of education opposes it.
