Abstract

A stochastic discrete fracture network model of Darcy's underground water flowin disrupted rock massifsis introduced. Mixed finite element method and hybridization of appropriate lowest order Raviart-Thomas approximation is used for the special conditions of the flow through connected system of 2-D polygons placed in 3-D. Model problem is tested. © Springer-Verlag 2002.
