It is important for the investors to have a good understanding of the financial position of a company in other to make sound investment decisions. This study examined the relationship between accounting information and share price of quoted commercial banks in Nigeria for 10 years from 2007 to 2016. Ex-post facto research design was adopted and the data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistic, correlation and regression analysis. The study findings revealed that earnings per share and capital employed per share have positive and strong significant influence on share price of quoted banks in Nigeria. The study recommends the introduction of sector wise index which will help Investors to analyze the company's overall characteristics when making investment decisions, this is because the effects of accounting information on share price depends on both the firms and industry's overall characteristics.
