Abstract

In the present work, an effort has been used to analyze the profit behavior of the computer systems under the concepts of priority, maximum repair time, and preventive maintenance after a pre-specific maximum operation time. For this purpose, a stochastic model has been developed by giving priority to software upgradation jointly over hardware repair and replacement. And the profit function of the anticipated stochastic model has been compared with some already existing models. A single repair facility is available. SMP and RPT have been used to develop recurrence relations for various performance measures. Graphical representation of the profit difference has been made to highlight the importance of the study.
