Excitement in an elephant after intravenous administration of atropine

Abstract

Atropine, which has been reported to induce excitement in domestic animals, may also induce excitement in exotic species. Toxicity of atropine varies among species. Development of toxicosis usually is associated with overdosage, and signs of toxicosis are similar for all mammalian species.
