The paper deals with the possibility of using crosslam timber panels for strengthening existing buildings against seismic forces. Three types of buildings are considered - unreinforced masonry (URM), reinforced concrete frames and reinforced concrete frames with masonry infill. Results from an extensive testing series are presented, namely quasi-static cyclic test on URM and shaking table tests of reinforced concrete frames with and without infill. © RILEM 2014.
