Abstract

This study was conducted on the parasitic helminths of 42 belly-banded squirrels (Callosciurus erythraeus) and 53 nutrias (Myocastor coypus), captured in five prefectures in Japan. Brevistriata callosciuri and Strongyloides sp. were obtained from the squirrels, and Strongyloides myopotami, Calodium hepaticum and Fasciola sp. were obtained from the nutrias.
