Abstract

In December 2008, the Institute of Medicine released a report (www.iom.edu/residenthours) on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education's current duty hour regulations for medical residents. The following two articles address the report's recommendations from the perspectives of the medical residency program and GI fellowship. © 2009 AGA Institute.
