Abstract

Liquid crystals (LCliquid crystal (LC)s) are nowadays widely used in electro-optical devices (e. g., liquid crystalline displays), for optical visualization of physical influences (heat, IR, high-frequency radiation, pressure, etc.), for nondestructive testing, as well as for thermography.
