Abstract

Humans can easily recognize objects around them just by looking at them, of course after knowing the name or label of the object through the learning process in daily activities. This is what underlies the formulation of the stages of how the system in the computer can recognize the objects it sees through the input given. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has a big role in the development of this application so that the application produces the desired output. Sign language is commonly used by deaf groups to communicate with the people around them, but not everyone understands sign language. Bahasa Isyarat Indonesia (BISINDO) was chosen in this development because apart from being easier to understand for the non-deaf group, it is also preferred by the deaf group. Making the application is preceded by data collection, the data used is an image containing sign language movements taken from the internet. The method used to develop this application system is the AI Project Cycle, while for testing it uses image data inference.The development of this application aims to help deaf groups communicate with their environment or vice versa.
