A 55-year-old woman with no significant past medical history has been complaining of palpitations for the past 3 years. These symptoms are associated with fatigue, activity intolerance, chest discomfort, and lightheadness. A Holter monitor was ordered which demonstrated greater than 20,000 PVCs per day. These accounted for approximately 25% of her daily heart beats. © Springer-Verlag London Limited 2011.
