Abstract

The renewable energy is one of the best options to meet the modern energy requirements but today, renewable energy resources account for about 33% of India’s primary energy consumptions. India’s population is more than 1028 million, growing at an annual rate of 1.58% every year for this reason, modern forms of energy management and diagnostics acts as one of the most important drivers in economic growth and providing access to cheap reliable energy to consumers, which can be achieved by integrating IoT system—a fast booming technology, which facilitates energy monitoring and smart metering in real time. This paper is an application based low cost IoT design consisting of a powerful microcontroller, Sensors that can measure or sense current and voltage levels in a house hold appliances, integration of web interfaces that are capable of keeping analytical and graphical track reports of daily power consumptions.
