Abstract

The assessment of situation awareness is modeled within a set-theoretic formalism. This formalism explicitly requires the identification of a functional relationship between particular sets of knowledge and specific performance criteria. The framework is exercised in an experiment, demonstrating the utility of the formalism. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
