Abstract

This document examines critically the proposed update of the national curriculum guidelines ofsecondary schoolprofessionaltechnical education reported in the National Council ofEducation (CNE) by Professor Francisco Cordão. Itsfocuson thefollowing aspects: the KEY as the core ofthe proposed guidelines; conceptions of curriculum in professional education; the problem ofthe theory andpractice,flexibility andfragmentation in the modular curriculum, interdisciplinarity. For this, initially takes the meaning ofthe guidelines in the legislation's basic education in Brazil and the incorporation ofthe subject curriculum in the area ofWork and Education, as these become an instrument ofpolitical and cultural direction ofsociety in the context ofthe crisis of capital. Also addresses, in contrast to the proposed principles outlined in the alternative document elaborated by civil society and concludes about the importance ofthe dispute for the design of professional education in Brazil as a means ofbuilding counter-hegemony.
