Abstract

The superfine unfixed grinding agent has been comprehensively applied at exactitude manufacture. The ceramic die based TiC has been prepared and the mechanism capabilities has been tested. The method of using superfine unfixed grinding agent has been adopted at machining ceramic die. At the same time, the wear behaviors and mechanism of ceramic die has been analyzed. The results showed that the friction coefficient of ceramic die tended to decrease as the rotation speed increasing with B4C grinding agent. The wear mechanism has been mainly micro-scraping. The machining method of using superfine unfixed B4C grinding agent has been a good way for machining ceramic die and it could get better precision and surface quality.
