Many benign tumors and tumor-like conditions are encountered in the orbit; some commonly seen, others very rare. This chapter primarily covers congenital orbital tumors and tumor-like conditions including hamartomatous and teratomatous lesions such as epidermoid, dermoid, dermolipoma, teratoma, cephalocele, congenital and other cysts. Although extensively covered elsewhere (Chapter 14) vascular hamartomas such as capillary hemangioma is also included for the sake of inclusiveness of this chapter. Clinical, imaging, and therapeutic aspects of these pathologies are detailed.
