Abstract

Objective 3 of a larger project designed to integrate Indigenous Ecological Knowledge (IEK) and Non-Indigenous Ecological Knowledge (NIEK) with Western Science to better understand capelin distribution over region time. My specific research aims to better describe our understanding of capelin and its relationship with fisheries and communities in Canadian North Atlantic waters in addition to describing the shifts in capelin spawning.
