Abstract

Kanzakiflavone-2 (I) a new flavone has been isolated from the ethereal extract and three known compounds, iridin (VI), mangiferin (VII) and isomangiferin (VIII) were isolated from the n-butanolic extract of Iris unguicularis Poir. Respectively. The structure of kanzakiflavone-2 (I) has been determined as 5,4’-dihydroxy-6,7-methylenedioxyflavone by chemical and spectral means. © 1976, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
