Oralidade e escrita: uma revisão

Abstract

O artigo faz uma revisão crítica dos estudos que se dedicam à análise das relações entre oralidade e escrita e às supostas conseqüências da introdução ou difusão da escrita e da imprensa em sociedades e em grupos sociais. Para isso, os autores caracterizam a emergência do campo de estudos sobre o tema, suas principais abordagens e seu estágio atual.This article is a critical review of studies which dedicated themselves to analyze the relationship between orality and writing and the alleged consequences of the access or dissemination of both writing and press in societies and social groups. Bearing this in mind, the authors describe the emergence of a field of studies on the subject, its main approaches and current stage.
