This paper presents a methodology and a graphical software environment dedicated to support the activity of various actors (instructional designers, training managers, pedagogical engineers, developers, learners, etc.), involved in the production of professional online training systems. After having presented the basis of our specific "wheel methodology" for building learning scenarios for those systems, we detail the models on which the methodology relies. The process behind the methodology follows a goal-oriented and a template-based approach. Finally, a prototype environment and the first experimentations carried out with this environment are described. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
